After making more than $100,000 on the popular freelance platform Upwork, I wanted to see if Fiverr has the same potential to make money as a freelancer. So I gave this platform a test run a few months ago but what happened during this time truly surprised me... Data security is not exactly the most exciting topic.
I’ve applied here so many times and I have never heard back so it’s true that it is hard to get on here. I guess they must want people that have moderated before. Once hired, you'll start out somewhere around $8 to $10 hourly, and the job seems to top out at around $15 per hour. I've read the exact rate is dependent on your location. This info didn't come from the LiveWorld site because they don't have it listed, so those are just quotes I read around the web.
Entry-Level Work-From-Home Jobs Everyone Can Do
It will, however, be enough to get by and gain more experience so you can apply for bigger gigs soon. A remote job or work-from-home job is any type of job that can be done entirely online. As long as you have a computer/smartphone and a proper internet connection, you can do this job from anywhere in the world.

My main tasks were things like admin stuff, booking flights or hotels, tons of online research, internal communication, or some project management jobs. Yes, some people want to hire experienced Virtual Assistants only. But there are also loads of general VA positions out there, that don’t require you to have any particular skills. Hours can be lost with little to no warning. No merit based pay increases, almost no increases at all for most employees. Very difficult to pick up more hours if you want them.

Good luck to you, and I hope you find this ebook helpful if a non-phone job is what you are looking for. After you are hired, they want you to go through some training, which is done via live sessions. Once you're trained, I'm semi-confused about how scheduling works. I can see that things are done in shifts.
Poor management
I worked there over 5 years and you’re right on every count. I had one calling me up yelling at me before she realized she was calling the wrong moderator. Each job listing also has a short summary with any relevant information I can find (pay, what countries it may be open to, etc.). Some people don't like that the company doesn't give raises. What you are hired in making is what you will always make. I have heard that getting hired at LiveWorld isn't easy, so you may not hear back.

They paid that in 2004 and that’s what they’re paying in 2015. And people there can work for other companies to supplement income. You can also qualify for public assistance while working at Live World, isn’t that great?

Or maybe you are a night owl and find it easier to focus in the evening. No matter what age you are or what type of previous experience or skills you have, there are still plenty of opportunities to go remote and have a career change. Data Entry jobs can easily be done from home and often don’t require any experience. Some might need you to have knowledge in a certain area but there are also many general positions, too. Basically, any tasks, that are fairly easy but require some time.

Language platforms like Verbling or iTalki are constantly looking for new teachers. Some of those platforms require you to be a native speaker and have previous teaching experience, others don’t. And go to office maybe once a week for a few hours. Agile style so everyone is keeping up with what other is doing. Worst thing is that the company views moderators who work from home as disposable.

Hosting meetings consistently for the mods would help alleviate this - There is no incentive to stay with the company long-term. There is no pay raises and promotions are rare. From my understanding someone working there 8 years gets the same rate of pay as someone who just started yesterday. That is disheartening and fosters some of the negativity that can be seen among some of the mods.

It’s also a welfare queen company as the pay rate is so low that you can receive benefits should you need. It’s taking advantage of smart, upper class people who are down on their luck financially. Most moderators are poor or lower middle class financially unless they have a spouse, family members or friends helping out.
I don't have to spend a lot of money on a wardrobe, don't have to put wear and tear on my car or deal with the rising cost of fuel. I have my own office space that is comfortable for me. I have been with LiveWorld for several years and have always appreciated the flexibility of the work schedule. The staff and coworkers are more family than just work acquaintances. They keep in mind that we are all human.
